How Lady Gaga Inspired My Green Quilt

By Jane Green

Yesterday, I was playing around with a few designs for looking at working with a green quilt. However while working on this, a music clip featuring Woman Gaga came on the television.

While watching the clip, I noticed that they both share several similarities. You may not agree with me, however here's what I noticed:

Unorthodox

Lady Gaga is an unorthodox kind of pop star. She is noted just as much for her 'out there' fasion as she is for her music. If you're in any way familiar with her, you'll no doubt have an image in your head of some extreme fashion item she has worn during the past.

In the same way, a green quilt is an unorthodox one too. It is one of the last colors to be used for quilting and when it is, it'll actually stand out from your other quilts. Due to this, it is always a talking topic of any quilters collection.

Experimental

Back to her fashion sense, the pop princess has worn an endless number of experimental fashion pieces. On some occasions, she has actually worn clothing that she has claimed was 'art '. Either way, each time she appears it's with a new, experimental type of clothing.

In a way, a green quilt is experimental also. Each time somebody approaches one of these, it is always a risk that there is not any guarantee that it will turn out right, no safety area of tried and tested colours. It truly is a foray into the unknown, an experiment in itself.

Attention Getting

Whether it is her music or her fashion, Lady Gaga has mastered the art of 'attention grabbing'.

This is the same for a green quilt, it does not have to try. Due to its peculiar association with nature, these quilts stand out even if surrounded by lots of other quilts.

Perhaps Lady Gaga should use a green quilt in her next experimental fashion piece. They seem well suited to one another.

Sandra Bullock Movies Captured America's Heart

By Stephanie Smith

Sandra Bullock is the sweetheart of the silver screen, the gatherer of hearts from men who wish they are her boyfriend and the interest grabber of girls who can easily compare themselves with her in all the different parts she does. Stars fresh to acting know that they only dream of doing it so effortlessly, like Sandra does in all of her roles from comedy to drama performances. Her movies are the big money makers that Tinsel Town and Oscar dream of producing.

Deep down who is this person who is like a gold rush?

Born, Sandra Annette Bullock in Arlington, Virginia to a mother who is German and who was an opera singer and voice lesson teacher as well as an employee of the Army who was also a voice coach. Accompanying her mother on opera tours throughout Europe Sandra was quite the traveler at a young age. She also sang in the children's opera while traveling with her mother before all the days of box office gold Sandra Bullock movies.

While most young girls with stars in their eyes don't want to hear it, fame didn't come to Sandra as a young girl. She made it the typical way, staring in high school plays as a teen, going on to college at Eastern Carolina University before dropping out to make her way in New York, waiting on tables, checking coats and tending bar. Alongside her side jobs, she also took acting classes to perfect her craft, staring in student film productions and an off-Broadway play. Small parts gave way to television and then film roles such as Love Potion No 9 and The Thing Called Love before she hit it big with her role alongside Keanu Reeves in Speed.

Sandra Bullock has been linked on a personal relationship with some of the larger names including Troy Aikman, Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling and these big names have done absolutely nothing to hurt Sandra Bullock movies bring success. The heart, humor and enthusiasm Sandra brings to the table in her roles and parts are what really make her movies successful and truly great. Sandra Bullock hit it real big in 2010 with The Blind Side where she won an Oscar and she also got her Hollywood Star if Fame in 2005.

A Few Of The Most Memorable Movies From The Incredibly Popular Actor, Matt Damon

By Michael James

This article will focus on the films of Matt Damon. Damon is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and has been starring in great movies since the early 1990s. At such an early stage of his career, it is amazing that he has already won an Oscar. What is even more amazing is that it wasn't for acting. I have no doubts that one of those awards will come his way soon enough.

Let's discuss some of Matt Damon's best films so far in his career.

The first movie on this list that I will mention is The Talented Mr. Ripley. Matt Damon stars as the title character that is sent on a mission to bring back a spoiled rich boy, played by Jude Law. This movie is better than I make it sound.

Another awesome Matt Damon movies is Good Will Hunting. There is little doubt that this is the film that put both Damon and Ben Affleck on the map. In fact, they also wrote the screenplay together, for which they received an Academy Award.

Ocean's Twelve is another film that I will include on this list. I loved the first film, Ocean's Eleven, but Matt Damon has a bigger role in the second installment. This is the movie where they let Linus (Damon's character) take on a bigger part of the heist.

When it comes to movies directed by Kevin Smith, my favorite film is definitely Dogma. This movie stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Linda Fiorentino, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. This is a great comedy from a great director.

The last movie that I will mention on this list is The Departed. This is easily one of the best movies of the past decade and Damon was a big part of the reason why. Both Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio are fantastic in this movie.

As it stands, this is my all-time Matt Damon list. I have little doubt that I will have to readjust this list for years to come.
